Veterinary Requirements

For the safety of your cat and our other feline residents your cat must be:

  • Up-to-date with vaccinations
  • Up-to-date with flea and worming treatment

All cats boarding with us must be fully inoculated as specified by a vet, but the injection for rabies is optional. The Health Card showing that your cat’s inoculations are current must accompany your cat to the Cattery at Lagrave.

Please ensure that your cat has been treated for fleas and wormed before arrival at the cattery.

We are happy to provide food for your cat, but if you wish your cat to continue with its usual diet please bring enough for the length of stay.

Health Warning for Cat Owners

The following is a quote from the Feline Advisory Bureau website:

Housing which offers any opportunity for cats from different households to come into contact with each other (or each other’s faeces) increases the potential for spread of disease and should be avoided. This includes catteries where lots of cats are kept together in large pens and those which use a common area as an exercise run. Cat cages without runs should be avoided – cats need space to exercise and move around.

All our cat pads allow for good ventilation and exercise to ensure all the cats at the Cattery at Lagrave are happy and healthy cats.
