the pads

Situated in our quiet garden of just over an acre the Cattery at Lagrave is south facing taking advantage of any sun. None of the pads are in full, direct sun and each offers shade in the summer, but warmth in colder weather from an elevated, insulated bedding area.

The locked, main door opens into a security corridor leading to two family pads, where three or four cats from the same household can share, and three smaller pads for up to two cats from the same household. There are scratch posts, toys and elevated tables in each pad.

The sleeping/feeding areas are fully insulated and separate from the litter area and each cat has a heat pad to ensure constant warm bedding. The risk of cross-infection is kept to an absolute minimum by sneeze barriers between pads that are next to each other.

Our cattery is built to standards laid down by the Feline Advisory Bureau and is deemed to be an outdoor cattery ensuring good ventilation as well as individual space.

DAILY CARE

The cats are fed twice daily and litter trays are changed twice a day. The cattery is visited by us regularly throughout each day so that we can provide human contact and cater for anything extra needing to be done.

All cats, old or young and in between, are catered for and any cats on special diets or medication are welcome. Owners can bring their own food for their cat if they wish to do so.

Long Term Care

We are experienced at caring for cats who require long-term care and have been recommended by the Phoenix Association for this purpose.

Entire male cats are not accepted at the cattery
